Protected areas around greens complexes

We operate protected areas around greens complexes to avoid damage from trolley and buggy traffic.  Click here to view a graphic of the protected areas and a fuller explanation of our policy.

Holes in Bunkers

Before leaving a bunker, a player should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints made by him, using the rake provided.

Restore Divots, Repair Ball Marks and Damage by Spikes

Through the green, a player should ensure that any turf, cut or displaced by him is replaced at once and pressed down, and that any damage to the putting green made by the ball is carefully repaired. To see how to repair a pitch mark properly - click here. Damage to the putting surfaces caused by golf shoe spikes should be repaired on completion of the hole.

Damage to Greens

Players should ensure that, when putting down bags, or the flagstick, no damage is done to the putting green, and that neither they nor their caddies damage the hole by standing close to it, in handling the flagstick or in removing the ball from the hole. The flagstick should be properly replaced in the hole before the players leave the putting green.

Damage through Practice Swings

In taking practice swings, players should avoid causing damage to the course, particularly the tees and ensure no divots are thus created.

Special Notes for Societies and Groups

Please contact the Office 0151 334 2155 approximately 2 weeks before your booking to discuss numbers, confirm tee times and meal requirements. Final numbers for food may be confirmed 4 days before. Minor additions to this number can probably be catered for. Unfortunately any subsequent reduction in numbers must be paid for.

If groups include members of Bromborough Golf Club those members are excluded from paying a Green fee. All other members of the Society must pay the agreed Green Fee. Cards may be collected in advance from the Professional. Group organisers should allow 9 minutes between tee times.

For those playing only in the afternoon, but requiring lunch, we recommend pre-ordering. A limited lunchtime snack menu is usually available, for which orders may be placed at the time and must be paid for at the time.
